This workshop presents your organisation/company with a guided tour of VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM). We install up to 2 SRM Servers (representing primary and recovery sites) to facilitate this tour. The interactive workshop also covers preparing an effective disaster recovery plan and configuration of SRM to execute the plan in case of an outage or disaster. The SRM Jumpstart has the following prerequisites for Infrastructure representing primary/protected and recovery sites:

• Two ESX/ESXi hosts representing primary and recovery sites
• Two VirtualCenter Servers representing primary and recovery sites
• Two SRM Servers (can be same as VirtualCenter Servers) representing primary and recovery sites
• Separate SRM database and VirtualCenter database for primary and recovery sites
• SRM compatible shared fibre channel or iSCSI SAN with replication
• Sample virtual machines (VMs) on ESX host at primary site

• Knowledge transfer for installation and configuration of SRM.
• Ensuring your organisation/company how to perform installation and configuration of SRM.
• Ensure that your organisation/company understands the planning required for disaster recovery using SRM.
• Ensure the customer understands the workflows and creation, execution, testing of a disaster recovery plan using SRM.
• The knowledge transfer is achieved through a PowerPoint presentation and getting a prototype installation up and running for testing and discussion, with interleaving between the presentation and screens from the prototype installation for reference.
