The Plan and Design for VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager (SRM) service provides a customer a comprehensive architectural design for SRM. This service takes elements from a foundational VI architecture and extends and adapts the design to support disaster recovery for VMware Infrastructure workloads. The Plan and Design for SRM service is available in three size engagements, Basic, Standard, and Premium, and is delivered to customers via a Statement of Work.

The Plan and Design for SRM service is applicable for customers that presently have and use VMware Infrastructure and are interested in implementing a disaster recovery solution using VMware vCenter SRM. VMware recommends the completion of a Plan and Design for VI engagement prior or as part of a Plan and Design for SRM engagement service, as the disaster recovery solution require a sound VI architecture as the foundation.

If your organisation/company has already invested in Plan and Design for VI, then it is strongly recommended that you invest in a Taupo VMware Health Check engagement prior to starting a Plan and Design for SRM.
