Taupo has just completed its first year working with UK clients instead of 100% Global customers.
During this time we have continued to provide certified training, consultancy and support services and have:
• Increased staffs count by 100%
• Become the first VMware partner to install VMware view anywhere in the world
• Trained a Global IT manufacture on VMware
• Deployed VMware view over a WAN for this time in Europe
• Delivered VMware services after being recommended by 3 Global IT manufacturers.
Dave Ashton Taupo Marketing said “ 2009 was a year of transition and hence we am delighted to have made the progress we have during tough trading conditions. We believe that a lot of our success so far has been due to us only selling VMware solutions which coupled with our global and European reference sites has resulted in many referrals from clients and other IT resellers.
Moving forward into 2010, we believe we will find that most our or business comes from working closely with other specialist suppliers so that we can continue to provide complete solutions without diluting our skill set in VMware. We predict a large increase in demand for Site Recovery Manager and VMware View as more references sites becomes available. Both products benefit from having had major version updates.

Taupo win another college with their strategic partner Celerity who are a 100% focused IBM VAR. October 2009: Taupo troubleshoot a large VMware View deployment

Taupo have just completed troubleshooting a large education deployment of VMware View and though several configuration issues were addressed it was another classic example of SAN sizing that created the main problem of performance for end users.
Chris McEwan of Taupo said “ we have deployed VMware View in several sites including over a WAN and found that it has been trouble free after we have complete the planning and proof of concept. The sites that we have been asked to resolve technical and performance issues had all skipped this vital stage or had not conformed to VMware best practice.”

October 2009: Taupo provide best practice advice to a meeting of Scotland’s Colleges

This October Alistair Sutherland, technical director, presented to Scotland’s colleges in Stirling on VMware best practice. The request came after several successful college installations and the fact that Taupo are and will remain the only company in the UK to provide certified training and consultancy.
